The first Reactor Educator Network (REN) session was a blast! All thanks to Singapore Centre For Social Enterprise (raiSE) for sharing with our educators - we are looking forward to more social entrepreneurs in Singapore :)
We are secretly proud of the refreshment bar we put together - Rusydi definitely has a knack for that!
First part of the session saw us listening to Jonathan from raiSE, and learning about the landscape of social enterprises in Singapore. We also discussed about a very common question - should social enterprises be profitable? What are your thoughts? :)
Mr Alfie Othman, Executive Director of raiSE joined us for a fireside chat to wrap up the sharing segment.
Every group represents a business entity, that sells origami flowers. The twist comes in when each entity faces different challenges, and how does each team navigate these difficulties.
Teachers make really good hagglers by the way, it was eye opening looking at them bargain with Weiyuan to sell their origami flowers at the highest price.
Time really flew :( We wrapped up our session with a short sharing session for teachers to share about their challenges in school, and how we could all build a stronger community to support one another!
Once again, thank you to all who took time to spend with us, and of course, the good looking raiSE team for sharing!
